Linovision EOC-Converter is a combination of Power over Coax (PoC) and Ethernet over Coax (EOC) converter. With proprietary ePOE technology, it is designed to transmit both PoE power and ethernet data over coaxial cables or twisted pair cables, including siamese cable, CATV cable, power cable, Cat5E/Cat6, etc. The max transmission distance can be 3,300ft. It is super useful to upgrade the analog camera system to an IP surveillance system without replacing legacy coaxial cables. It can also be used in elevators to get power and network from coax or twisted pair cables.

There are some situations in that users need to transmit PoE power and data over ultra-long distances, for example, power a remote security camera from 500 meters (or 1,640ft) away (from one building to another building), or supply power to a PoE IoT device from one side to another side of an underwater tube. The regular PoE extender will extend 100 meters only. Linovision innovative EOC solution, it makes possible to transmit PoE power and data over max. 1,000 meters (or 3,300ft) through regular Cat5e or Cat6 cable, this will reduce thousands of dollars in cabling cost.
There are some locations that are without network cables but still need POE power and data transmission, for example, elevator carts in many buildings, or doorbell cables, LINOVISION EOC converters are perfect for this application. It can transmit POE power and IP data over coax RG59 cable, twisted pair cable, doorbell cable, telephone cable, or even power cables. The remote-connected device can be IP cameras, IP Video intercoms, IP phones, IP controllers, etc.

EOC Transmission Performance
The 2022 version EOC converter supports POE IP data transmission over twist pair cables, such as Cat5E/Cat6 cable, power line, RS485 cable, etc. BNC to Twist pair connectors are required in this connection. This function is widely used in elevator applications.

7. For many elevators there are no ethernet cables and no camera powers in the elevator cart, LINOVISION EOC converters are perfect for this application. It can transmit POE power and IP data over coaxial or twist pair cables. One passive EOC-transmitter will be put inside the elevator cart to feed the camera or signal board, and one EOC-receiver will be in the control room, powered by POE switch/POE injector/POE NVR. For multiple elevators application, one EOC-Switch04 or EOC-Switch24 will be put in the control room, working together with max 8 elevators.
Use good quality IEEE802.3at 30W PoE switch to provide POE power to our EOC-Receiver, preferred with the DC53V input voltage, instead of regular 48V input voltage. Please also check the PoE budget of the PoE Switch, and make sure that the port individually can output 30W PoE power. (Most PoE Switches in the market do not support all ports at 30W POE output). Use point-to-point direct coaxial cable. The cable and connector quality will heavily affect the transmission distance. Please make sure to connect EOC-Receiver to the POE switch, and then connect the PoE cameras to the EOC-Transmitter side. The PoE output from the EOC-Transmitter is PoE mode A (use Pin 1,2,3, 6 for both data and power). If your PoE device is PoE mode B, please use our POE-Splitter or PoE-Extender02. The PoE output is standard IEEE802.3af/at PoE, and not compatible with 24V passive PoE devices.

If you're looking at using this item, you may well have coaxial cable running to a CCTV camera and wanting to put a POE camera at the end of that run.
I have a coax cable run by the builder, and would be unable to run ethernet without tearing down quite a lot of the structure. I used this to install a Ubiquiti POE camera at the end of the run.
I used these to create a coax cable bridge for both ethernet and POE, just as the instructions said. Ubiquiti reports the camera connected at 100 Mbps speed. The POE is connected only at the non-camera end of the run, and powers both transducers as well as the camera.
Im using this product with a cameras, intercoms and computers. in an elevator (52fl building) is working perfect (coax). using with a twisted pair is working 600ft and with single pair (18x2) is working fine but only 150ft I did try at 300ft but gave me some errors.
Exactly as described, piece of cake to power a Cisco voip phone at end of coax run to a bedroom. Highly recommended
Worked for a PoE IP camera that only had old COAX run to it. No issues whatsoever. It is a little large; so it can be a challenge to conceal it at the camera location.
Use it with Poe camera to change analog camera. Save me a lot of time and money
