At nearly $100 (89 at the time of purchase) this costs as much as 3 -4x POE splitters combined.
Looking at the size and complexity that seems high for a simple, small device.
It's quite unusual in that it's a name brand I've heard of before which is almost nonresistant these days.
Brands lately tend to be made-up words like Smethblo, JlenKatplil, Knacnkdenff, ReBrentinagl - but this has a a name that is pronounceable.
It's well made, very sturdy and has some status lights which others tend to be missing.
The frame looks like cast aluminum and appears rain tight.
It has a ground screw terminal and a ground wire included which is uncommon.
It operates from POE power and does not need a 5V or USB adapter to make it work.
Others should do that as well but don't have that.
This one needs no extra power cable.
The manual is clear but a bit strange. They refer to it as the "machine".
"The machine might be damaged in case of a fall".
The metal housing they call a "chassis".
The instruction booklet has minor mistakes, it says each port is 30 watts.
It also says one is 30 and one is 60W out max.
The top diagram says 90W input,, output is 30 and 60W.
It's a splitter so not much to test on it.
Each channel has 1 LED.
They call it a network extender which is true since it is an active device which can add another 100m segment to a network. Functionally it's also a network switch or hub since it expands 1 Ethernet connection into.2.
It's made in China but is better made than most.
For a simple 2 port switch $89 seems pretty steep.
